Artistic Expression.
My favorite form of creation. Projects that have a bit more of a personal and emotional touch to them. The following works are pieces where I chose to blend a medley of my different art forms, tying them together with a much deeper underlying message, where I get to tap into the true depths of my creativity
DISTORTION: The Nostalgia Issue
Magazine design concept aimed to highlight the wide range of different art forms that creatives (like myself) tend to play with in their search for meaning, ranging from digital design to film photography to poetry to physical art.
The vision of this magazine was thatveach issue would focus on a different theme, with the art forms inside all reflecting their over arching coming thread. For this theme, I decided to focus on nostalgia, the silly little feeling we all know too well.
P.S. Coming Soon… DISTORTION: The Self Issue
A physical piece of art on canvas created using a multitude of materials, set out to create something that was entirely “me,” yet no part of it being inherently me.
A mix of paint, plaster, pressed flowers, used film strips, and so much more - every single element of this piece possesses and entire story in and of itself.
It’s entirely me, yet none of it is ME.

Artists Note:
my favorite element of this piece is the note card in the center, entitled “recipe of myself.” Adapted from a scan of my favorite recipe out of my grandmothers recipe box,
reads as follows:
- an overly dog-eared Mary Oliver Book
- a haircut I am certain will change my life
- a passed down guitar with worn out strings that sound like my childhood when strummed
- a search for who I am, with art as my magnifying glass
- a wallet with concert tickets where the dollar bills should be
- a collection of trinkets with little cost but immeasurable value
- a film camera through which I see the world
- a sanity loosely help together by a spiral bound journal and a gym membership
- a closet of coveted thrift finds
- skin scattered with tattoos. reminding me that this is, and always has been, the body I inhabit
- a signature scent that dances the line between vanilla and musk
- an unstoppable lust for life met by an immovable fear of the unknown
RAD: A VISUAL REPRESENTATION
A blend together of my digital art, my film photography, and my own mind. For this project I began by creating my own font that was used throughout. The book is separated into three chapters, Reflection, Antithesis, and Duality (RAD), each one utilizing my film photography and design style to relate deeper on how I operate as an individual.
